*Last day for filing programs for the current Fall semester — Registrar's Office.

Please do not wait until the last day to consult your major advisor about your program, because (s)he may no longer have an appointment slot available. Do make an appointment with your advisor early in the week or, as a last resort, with Professor Kimberly Marten, the Department Chair. If you have not yet selected a major advisor, you must do so now. Only the faculty member on file at the Registrar's Office as your major advisor can approve your program on-line. Our site's Faculty page will get you to telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and office hours as well as our faculty's areas of expertise.

Mon., Oct.29 *Program-planning meeting for current and prospective political science majors planning their programs for the coming Spring semester — 11:30-12:30 P.M. in the North Tower of Sulzberger Hall.

Faculty will be on hand to explain the political science major, to tell you about their courses, and to answer your questions. There will be snacks and soft drinks. Please note when applications for the Spring colloquia are due.

Fri., Nov.2    *Spring colloquium applications due — 5:00 p.m., Department Office, 417-A Lehman Hall.

The Spring colloquium schedule and printable application forms are available on-line at Program Information. The enrollment rosters will be posted on the bulletin board outside 417-C Lehman on Friday, November 9.
Note:   When making your colloquium selection, please keep in mind that it will be to your benefit to choose one in the field of your anticipated senior essay topic.
Note:   If you are currently enrolled in the two-semester senior essay seminar, there is no need to reapply for it. However, if you are taking the senior seminar off-sequence, i.e., Spring-Fall, you do need to apply now, after you have obtained permission from your prospective instructor.

One of the Political Science Faculty would host this meeting to explain the Political Science senior seminar. Some of the other senior seminar instructors also will be on hand to tell you about their seminar format and to answer your questions. There will be snacks and soft drinks.

Your seminar instructor will be on hand to receive your senior research essay at the start of the party.
