Courses in Economics

The economics department offers a range of courses for students at all levels of economics education. If you have never taken an economics course before, start with one of the general education offerings. If the upper-level field electives interest you, be aware that they usually require one or more of the core theory courses as prerequisite, and plan accordingly. Quantitative methods and Senior Research courses are most appropriate for majors. Majors are advised to keep in mind the appropriate program in economics as they make their course selection.
